Meet Amy
Amy became a licensed midwife to empower mothers to trust their God-given intuition. She knows that mothers and families have what it takes to birth their babies when they follow a healthy lifestyle and work with a well-trained provider (and team)!
Using evidenced-based, natural birth techniques, she offers quality, personal, comprehensive prenatal, birth & postpartum care for home birth, birth center and water birth. While Amy is licensed and carries medications, she advocates a holistic approach, trusting nutrition and herbal remedies to prepare for birth, during labor and postpartum; only reaching for medications if absolutely needed.
Amy inspires and educates mothers to make informed choices in their own health. She trusts in a woman's body and has faith in the natural process of pregnancy, birth, and rhe post-partum period.
Amy adores her family which includes a doting husband, 6 active young adults & children, her supportive parents, a fun-loving Alaskan malamute and a cat or two (& kittens).
Amy loves motherhood, home-schooling, and exercising. But more than anything, she loves helping her clients recognize their strength and become empowered as they make important choices about their birth, health, babies & families.
We work to design individual care that considers your desires and health while seeking the best evidence-based care through education and informed consent.
We know that each mother, pregnancy, labor, birth, and newborn are unique; no two are the same and nor ever will be.
This dedication stems from the Midwives Model of Care as defined by Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC), and Citizens for Midwifery (CfM).
This model of care translates into collaboration between you and your midwife. We look forward to journeying with you during this adventure.
